BOOK FAIRS
The Library sponsors three Scholastic Book Fairs each year. Both the Fall and Winter/Spring Book Fairs are fundraisers for the Library. Proceeds earned from the sales of books are used to pay for new books for the Library, as well as Author Visits and other Library programming. The last Book Fair of the school year is always held the week before the last day of school. This is the Buy One/Get One Free Book Fair. The Library does not earn any cash from this fair as all profits are going back to the students in the form of the free books they receive. This is a great way to get students’ excited about reading over the Summer Break!

- PAYMENTS ACCEPTED – The accepted forms of payment at the Book Fairs are cash, money orders or checks. We accept credit cards from adults only. If you would like for your student to use your debit card, we MUST have a written note in addition to a phone call indicating that your student has your approval to use the card.
- “BOOK FIRST RULE” Since the Book Fairs are sponsored by the Library to promote reading, we have instilled the “Book First Rule”. Students are reminded of this rule at the beginning of each Book Fair. What this means, is that if students are sent to school with money in which to buy something from the Book Fair, the first purchase made by the student must be in the form of a book. Any purchases after that first purchase can then be made for other items available at the Book Fair (pencils, erasers, etc.). If parents would prefer their student make the decision upon what s/he purchases without following the “Book First Rule”, then a note sent in with the student is requested so that all volunteers at the Book Fair are aware of the students’ parent’s preference.
